4×4 Rubik’s cube was released in 1981, that had a bigger challenge than 3×3 Rubik’s cube. It was also known as The Rubik’s Revenge 4×4 cube. This was invented by someone else. However the original inventor allowed the said name to attract fans of the Rubik’s cube. Currently, Sebastian Weyer from Germany holds Guinness Book of World record for solving fastest 4×4 Rubik’s cube in 17.42 seconds.
4×4 Rubik’s Cube Tutorial with Parity Solution
Here is the tutorial with popular method. This method is very popular and easy method. But in this method, one will face two parity error i.e. edge parity and corner parity while solving top or last layer.
Edge parity Tutorial (4×4 Rubik’s cube)
In 4×4 Rubik’s cube we face a challenge of edge parity and corner parity case. In edge parity error, there will be two edge pieces of top layer will be flipped shown in the below thumbnail. whereas in corner parity error, two corners of last layer are swapped. Following is the tutorial for edge parity with two different methods.
Tutorial without any Parity (Different Method)
Below is another method where in there is no edge or corner parity issue. it is comparatively easy but long method where in one needs to strategize to solve with this method. In this method, we solve it layer by layer. So after solving two layers, we make 2×2 blocks from 3rd and 4th layer. And at last, we solve the cube like 2×2.
