About Manqube

Manqube is one person, one living room, and one question that refused to go away: What else can I do?

It started with a Rs. 400 cube

In July 2017, Manish Rathod, a media professional in his mid-forties, picked up a Rubik’s Cube at a Mumbai airport bookshop during a delayed flight. He had wanted one as a boy in Bhavnagar and never got around to it. Three decades later, he finally picked one up.

What followed surprised even him.

From solving to collecting. From collecting to designing. From designing to inventing. Today, Manish has a collection of 500+ puzzles, around 150 Twisty Puzzle designs, 90+ listings in the internationally renowned Twisty Puzzle Museum, and a mass-produced puzzle, the Manish Hexacopter,  sold in more than 18 countries by Calvin’s Puzzles.

He is, to his knowledge, the only designer from India with original puzzles archived in the Twisty Puzzle Museum.

He is entirely self-taught. In everything
