I’m Manish Rathod. Manqube is the name I design under — a one-person practice, not a studio with a team behind it. I work mainly in shape modification: taking a familiar twisty puzzle mechanism and rebuilding the form around it into something that hasn’t existed before.

The archive documents the wider body of work — every design, whether or not it’s currently available to buy. A puzzle stays in the archive after it’s sold out or discontinued; this is a record, not just a shop window.
Process & Craft
The Making
An unusual shape mod rarely works on the first try. Most designs go through repeated rounds of CAD, printing, sanding and test-fitting before the geometry and the turning actually agree with each other. 3D printing isn’t a shortcut here — it’s the tool that makes this kind of experimentation possible at all.
