Dodecahedron Master Skewb

Some puzzle projects begin with a simple question: what would happen if a familiar mechanism took on a completely different shape? The Dodecahedron Master Skewb explores exactly that idea by transforming a Master Skewb into a dodecahedron-shaped puzzle.

For this version, the original Master Skewb mechanism serves as the foundation, while custom 3D-printed extension parts help create the distinctive dodecahedron shape. Instead of the familiar appearance of a standard Skewb, the modified puzzle takes on a multi-faced geometric form that gives it a completely different look.

What makes this design interesting is the combination of an existing twisty puzzle mechanism with a custom-built outer shape. The 3D-printed extensions make it possible to explore a new form while retaining the underlying puzzle concept, demonstrating how creative modifications can open up new possibilities in puzzle design.

I am not the original inventor of the Dodecahedron Master Skewb concept. This is my own version, developed through experimentation with shape transformations and 3D-printed parts for the twisty puzzle community.
