Stickerless Spherical Square-1

The Square-1 is known for its unusual turning mechanism and its ability to change shape as you solve it. But what happens when this classic puzzle gets a completely different look? That is where the Stickerless Spherical Square-1 comes in.

This shape modification transforms the familiar Square-1 into a spherical-looking puzzle using custom 3D-printed extension pieces. Instead of relying on stickers to add color, I printed the parts using six different colors of PLA filament and carefully glued them together with super glue. The result is a colorful, stickerless design that looks quite different from the traditional Square-1.

Creating this version was all about combining the original puzzle’s distinctive mechanism with a more rounded appearance and a multicolor finish. The extension pieces give the puzzle its unique spherical form, making it an interesting addition to the world of shape-mod twisty puzzles.

I am not the original inventor of the Spherical Square-1 concept, but this is my own version. For Square-1 enthusiasts, puzzle collectors, and fans of 3D-printed modifications, this creation offers a fresh perspective on a classic puzzle.
