Barrel Copter 3

The idea for the Barrel Copter 3 came to me unexpectedly while I was simply solving a Curvy Copter 3. In the middle of a solve, I started wondering, what if I could transform this puzzle into a cylinder shape? It was one of those random ideas that immediately made me curious enough to try it.

I began experimenting with the geometry and the existing mechanism, looking for a way to replace the familiar shape with a more unusual cylindrical, barrel-like form. After working through the design, I was able to turn the idea into a real puzzle.

The result was the Barrel Copter 3, a shape modification that keeps the spirit of the Curvy Copter 3 while giving it a completely different appearance. The cylindrical shape makes the puzzle look unusual and adds another interesting dimension to the solving experience.

This puzzle is a good example of how some of my designs begin—not from a detailed plan, but from a simple “What if?” while solving another puzzle.
