Tetra Square 0.5 – A Puzzle Born by Accident
Sometimes, the most interesting puzzles are the ones you don’t plan.
While designing and making Tetra Square 0.5, I was aiming for a different arrangement. The puzzle was already finished when I took a closer look at its structure. That’s when I noticed something unexpected—the top and bottom layers had only 6 pieces each instead of 8.
At first, I thought it was simply a mistake in the design. But the more I looked at it, the more interesting the idea became. Rather than changing it, I decided to keep this unusual configuration and give it a name of its own: Tetra Square 0.5.
What started as an accidental discovery became a unique mechanical puzzle with its own character. It’s a reminder that sometimes, a small mistake can lead to a completely new idea.
