4x4x4 Hexagonal Ghost Cube

The 4x4x4 Hexagonal Ghost was created by combining two ideas I wanted to explore in a single puzzle. First, I wanted to transform the familiar shape of a regular 4x4x4 cube into something completely different. Using custom 3D printed extension pieces, I modified the cube into a distinctive hexagonal prism shape.

The second concept was adding ghosted layers to the puzzle. This changes the way the pieces interact and makes the puzzle more interesting to solve, as the layers can create unexpected challenges during scrambling and solving.

Combining the unusual hexagonal shape with the ghosted-layer concept resulted in a puzzle that looks very different from a standard 4x4x4 and offers a more challenging solving experience.

The 4x4x4 Hexagonal Ghost is a fun example of how 3D printing and puzzle modification can bring multiple concepts together to create something unusual for twisty puzzle collectors and enthusiasts.
