5x5x5 Pillowed Ghost Cube

The Pillowed Ghost Cube series reaches another milestone with the 5x5x5 Pillowed Ghost Cube. Continuing the journey from the 2x2x2, 3x3x3, and 4x4x4 versions, this design takes the same unusual combination of shapes and applies it to an even larger cube.

At its heart, the puzzle transforms a standard 5x5x5 cube into a pillowed form while incorporating the ghosted layers that give Ghost Cube puzzles their distinctive appearance and solving challenge. The rounded silhouette changes the familiar look of a traditional cube, while the ghosted geometry makes piece recognition and alignment less straightforward than you might expect.

For me, the appeal of this series lies in discovering how one concept can evolve across different cube sizes. Each new version continues the same design journey while bringing its own character to the collection.

I am not the original inventor of the Ghost Cube concept. This is my own version, created as part of my ongoing Pillowed Ghost Cube series. It is another exploration of shape modification for puzzle enthusiasts who enjoy unusual designs and a fresh twist on familiar twisty puzzles.
