Not every twisty puzzle needs to look like a traditional cube. The Pentagonal Prism takes the familiar mechanics of a 3x3x3 puzzle and transforms them into something with a completely different silhouette: a five-sided prism.
My journey with this design began after watching Greg’s channel, where I learned about designing a pentagonal prism puzzle. Inspired by what I saw, I decided to explore the concept further and create my own version. The idea of taking a mechanism we know from a standard 3x3x3 cube and fitting it into a pentagonal prism shape was an exciting design challenge.
The result is a puzzle that looks quite different from an ordinary cube, inviting you to examine its shape and turning mechanism from a new perspective. It is an interesting example of how creative shape modifications can transform a familiar twisty puzzle into something unexpected.
I am not the original inventor of the Pentagonal Prism concept. This is my own version, inspired by what I learned and developed as part of my ongoing exploration of unusual twisty puzzle designs.
