Tetra Square 1.5 – An Idea That Grew from an Accident

Tetra Square 1.5 came from an idea sparked by my earlier puzzle, Tetra Square 0.5. While working on Tetra Square 0.5, I discovered that an unexpected change in the number of pieces could create an entirely different puzzle.

That got me thinking: what if I deliberately changed the arrangement instead of discovering it by accident?

With that idea in mind, I designed Tetra Square 1.5 with 10 pieces in both the top and bottom layers, rather than the 12 pieces used in Super Square 1. The reduced number of pieces gave the puzzle a different structure and a new identity of its own.

Tetra Square 1.5 is therefore more than just another mechanical puzzle—it represents the next step in an idea that began unexpectedly with Tetra Square 0.5. One accidental discovery led to another design, and the series continued to grow.
